Hi There.
I am trying to set up the ibu2 basic board, and being not technically minded, and with only one partially working brain cell I am at a loss with the terminology.
I have reached the part where one puts the micro s d card in a reader, and then opens the folder wanted , in my case for a kv2
and it tells me to go to the root part of the folder and copy it into ,the same folder ?.
A. I have no idea what or where this "root", folder is,
B. how on earth can one copy, one part of a folder onto the same folder ?.
I am not even sure if I am on this planet, having written that lot.
I have tried getting through to the seller, only to be informed that my set up, will not allow me to email them.
So have a very expensive piece of kit that I cannot set up.
I only purchased this board as I was informed that it was plug n play.
Happy days !!Any help in laymans terms would save my sanity.

The root is the first part of the SD card then the folders are like branches.

So when you put microSD card in the computer you will see the root which contains folders and a load of sound files and a setting file. The IBU2 will ignore anything in a folder and only look in this root area for the settings file and sound files.

To change delete all the sound files and setting files from the root. Go to KV1/2 folder select all files to copy, use the back arrow to return to the root of the microSD card and paste the files there. Then eject the microSD card.

I have had a few people comment on windows 10 you get a warning when copying the files, just ignore it and proceed anyway if you get it.

Simples when one knows how. it went smoothly,
Although this may not be the last call I may make, for help according to the manual, there is a lot more,
and I am worried about frying the fets, what ever they are ? (I call them front end terroists !! )

No worries John,

You shouldn’t fry your fets (8 black squares underneath) these control the tracks. There is plenty of protection covering them in the firmware and a 10A fuse. And even if the IBU2 malfunctions just contact me and I’ll sort it out for you.

Thanks, it will get sorted, but the ibu2 and torro turret wiring are new to me and is proving to be a minefield, as I am not tech minded, and a wrinkly !!

I'd strongly advise that you have it up on a block the first time you start it up. The IBU is a great board but you can't be too careful.
