I have just bought a Taigen "metal" Panther, and am very pleased with it. However, I have never seen the camouflage before. Can anyone, please, enlighten me as to where and when it was used ?
Here is a link to a pikkie from RC Tanks.de website :

Many thanks.

Yes please, EF, I'd be ever so grateful. I do have quite a few books on the Panther, but none show this scheme.

Hi Don,
Don't know if you have this book on the Panther. Schiffer, (Germany's Panther Tank. The quest for combat Supremacy). This is called the bible of the Panther. £49.99. Brian...

Nope, not got that one.
Actually I ditched most of my military books when I gave up wargaming about 15 years ago - wish I hadn't now !
Thanks Brian
EDIT : Bought, thanks Brian

There's various photos of the real thing with that scheme. I have a feeling it was a factory applied scheme for a short while. Both factories had differing schemes and its possible to tell where certain Panthers were built due the the scheme they carried. That rule is generally only applicable after a certain period though.

Rctank.de always seem to offer nicely equipped, and seductively presented tanks. Good choice

I've bought two from them myself (Late Tiger 1 and Torro King Tiger), and find they tick all the right boxes... For Camo try this link for ideas; someone has gone to considerable trouble to compile these patterns:-

with price tag of €439, I wonder if you have to upgrade anything to your tank?
