Hi Folks!

Finally got my lazy backside back to the bench and shot some pics of the Electrical/ElMod installation showing how I have managed to “shoehorn” it in the turret.

You can see from pics of the installation of the Speaker and Traversing Servo that though there “appears” to be plenty of room in the lower hull and there is. So why move everything to the turret? Well, it all started with the Clark TK60G2 and the requirement to place the GBS board in the turret and keep it within the 80mm of the TK60 board, NOT possible with the board in the lower hull and the GBS Board in the turret. So that meant putting nearly everything in the Turret including the Battery as I could not find a way to keep the Battery in the lower hull and the TK60 in the Turret and have 360-degree rotation on the Turret. ;)

Long story short I got it there but then the Resistor blew and the TK60 was out!

I decided to switch back to the ElMod for MANY reasons but wanted to keep open the option to switch back to the TK60 should I decide to give it another try. I really, really want GBS!!! Go news on that front, Thomas at ElMod told me he has plans to add GBS to the ElMod! NO details or timeline but still good news!!

So, after dealing with the TK60 disappointment, it kind of put me off my game for a while then my 1st COVID vaccine, yep made us a little sick for 3-4 days after but not bad just did not feel like modeling. We had our 2nd shot 4 weeks later, this past Thursday, yep sickly again over the weekend. :problem:

Monday, I managed to get back at it. I had not taken any pictures of the electrical installation process until Monday this week, the work has been done and tested for over a month now and I have been working on Headlight and Taillights. That is all that is left for the electrical installation in the lower hull. More on that in the next update.

So, without further lamenting here are pics on the electrical installation.

Hi Mr Barry.
A nicely laid out installation there, and labelling the wires for later in life when you have forgotten how you installed it... :haha: ...a wise move.
Regards.

Hello Barry
Outstanding job. I'm pretty sure you could easily handle something like this :) :) :):

My advice if you find any problems related to possible interference. You can twist the wires in pairs (+ and ground), especially those responsible for signal transmission.

Thanks Sub!

Wire labels are a must, I also draw up a schematic for the same reason.
