Hobby engine charging time

Hi guys

Just bought my youngest lad his first tank which is the Hobby Engine Leopard. Can someone whose had a hobby engine tank let me know the charging time for the battery please?

Have a look at the battery pack and see what capacity it is, then look at the charger and see what output it is you can then work out the charging time.
For example a battery having a 7.2v 2000 mah capacity and a charger output of 7.2v 500mah. (means the charger will deliver 500 milly amps in one hour
Divide the battery capacity (2000) by the charger output (500) you get 4 .
Therefore the ideal charging time is 4 hours to maximum capacity.
These figures are for the simplest of chargers. Normally as and when we can afford it we buy a lot better charger and they actually integrate the battery, and then using electronic's they charge the battery to its fullest capacity automatically and shut themselves down.
It is easily possible to damage your battery by overcharging it (some people just plug them in and leave them till next time they want them and then wonder why the battery is not right).
