Another Noobie with Tiger 1 Question

Hi People,
May I introduce myself and say it is a pleasure to 'meet' with you all.
I'm Stewart a 55 year old Instrument & Control Engineer from the UK, I've been lurking a while and as an introduction to the hobby I finally went down the tried and tested route of Taigen Early Tiger 1 Full Metal Airsoft. It arrived yesterday and on the whole very impressed albeit I've not much to compare it to!
As is customary for a Noobie I have a question, when I move it forwards or backwards slowly the engine sound etc is quite realistic. Above a certain speed a loud growling cuts in, I say growling but it's more like screeching from the sound module/speaker. Excuse my ignorance but is this a fault or is it Taigens's attempt at trying to mimic an accelerating/loaded engine?
I'II sneak another one in, I have the TG-3818-C model, the vendor I purchased it from states in the description "this is the latest version ......." I was surprised when it arrived it did not have the airsoft barrel recoil, has this function been realeased yet, is it available to purchase? Have I been misled?
The poor thing had a torturous journey to get to me, the outer box had a whole corner missing, the barrel of the cannon had punched through the inner and middle boxes and the top plate of the body is all marked where the turret had been forced heavily onto the body. It appears to be functioning normally apart from maybe the noise referred to above so I'll just enjoy it and wait and see.
Regards
Stewart
