an-bri-rc modell bau 2cm 38 veirling flak kit

Hi all.
I do not know if anyone has had this kit.
I purchased it a week ago and was very, very, disappointed with the quality of both the resin castings,
and the white metal castings,
the photos that serve as instructions, are poor, and overall I feel that it is lousy value for money.
£54.55. in all.
I am however, with a great deal of patience, building it, and it may yet turn out to be a fair representation
of an excellent piece of kit.
It will go on a panzer 1v, and will revolve as did the turret.
what I am trying to convey is that if you are interested in getting this gun, then look at a better kit than this.
it will no doubt cost more, but in the end you will have a much better end result.
cheers John Wadsworth.

Glad you posted this as I was just about to order a machine gun and mount for my kv off their eBay site. I may reconsider...

Interesting info mate, I too am looking at a FlaK version of the Pz IV, but am leaning to the Juckenburg offering.
At the current AU/EU exchange rate the thing will cost me around 8 million dollars (!!) but by the looks, the quality is there.

Having been right royally shafted by a dodgy dealer I now make it policy when buying from someone new to me to begin with a small purchase so that if they are less than fabulous I can afford the loss.
I had need of a metal high detail Early Tiger 1 starting handle complete with mounting clamps and on viewing the "an-bri-rc" site I saw what I wanted and placed an order,
It arrived two months later the German post office having lost it,
If I had not been able to write and speak German it is doubtful I would have ever got it but none of this foolishness was the fault of "an-bri-rc" who did there best to get the item to me, unfortunately it just was not worth the wait, far to flimsy in build it really could be built better by any reasonably skilled hobbyist.
I have avoided buying from them since although there are some attractive items on the site.
shaun.

Good morning,
I have had great parts and service from An-Bri-Rc and made great use of the site during the last StuG 'B' build. Having said that, some cleanup was required on most of the pieces but I have gotten used to expecting that on small parts, either resin or metal from almost any vendor. As long as the parts paid for continue to show up with regularity, I've no beef with the fellow.
regards,
Painless
P.S. I haven't bought any complete kits from him tho' and will keep wadsworthj's comments in mind if I do.

Hey there Wads

...Sorry to Hear about this dilemma you are having....one thing I will say being as I haven't seen this kit you are speaking of...but as far as resin goes....all can be made good

....the white metal is a different story though...hopefully they are fair enough to enhance with brass and solder
I think you have a good view on things as it might take time to achieve what you want...It does seem that you are ready to devote that time
Good Luck...
