Hi,

My name is Wes and after thinking about getting a RC tank for over a month, I finally jumped in!

I just received a Taigen 1/16 airsoft Tiger I tank a few days ago. So far, I've had a lot of fun with it. Since I've been kid I've been obsessed with the Tiger and other WWII German tanks.
Before getting the RC tank, I was spending way too hours playing War Thunder on PS4.

Anyhow, I look forward to interacting with other tankers and getting info on how I can modify my Tiger.

thanks,
Wes

Hi Wes and welcome! The Tiger I is about the most popular tank there is, TONS of aftermarket parts exist for it you'll have fun!

I have 3 Tigers and 1 King Tiger all in various stages of being built or rebuilt or repainted.

Welcome Wes:
It's good to see another "Yank" tanker.
This is a great site, and I'm always amazed by the skill and knowledge (and willingness to share their knowledge) of the members.
Have fun, enjoy, and welcome to the dark side of modeling.
Frank

Welcome to the Darkside, Wes. :)

I'm in Detroit so not too far from you.

There are a lot of very cool tankers all over new England, so you're in a good spot, and not too far south you have Danville, only the biggest indoor RC Tank Battlefield in the world.

So what's the first mod you'd like to undertake? If the tank came with zinc gearboxes that would be a very, very good place to start.

We'll get to the FPV and laser sighting in a day or two. :haha: :haha: @)

The gearboxes are steel so I think good with that. I just applied some Michael Wittman 007 decals to my tank. It turned out pretty well, the paint job on the Tiger I may be accurate for Wittamn's last tank.

I may purchase a 360 degree turret ring.
