Whoops , I've cocked up again . Apparently I've overfilled my smoke pot with smoke oil ... Is there any simple way round this without taking my tank apart.... :'(

Sorry Blue...Bad news...you have to take your tank apart...it's the only way....you will also need to take apart the smoker..(very carefully)...drain out the excess..then put some rice or something similar in the pot...it will soak up the residual from the wick...let it sit for about 24 hrs
Silver lining is you get good practice in servicing your tank ;)

Just exactly what kind of tank is it? Model and brand? I know a trick or two, depending on what tank you have.

Bluelion may I offer a tip?
I glue a strip of cut to size VELCRO to the floor of all my TANKS then glue a strip to the base of everything that goes into the hull, including the SMOKER, so that everything is secure but all you need to do to get it out is unplug it from the CONTROL BOARD pull out the two plastic exhaust pipes and lift away from the floor,.
shaun.

The only one you might not have to open at all is the M26, but you can access the smoker on the Heng Long T-34s by carefully lifting off the back deck. I have mine set that way, and yes, I have video, but unless someone asks for it I'm not gonna dig for it. The best part of the trick is using the tube that comes with a bottle of stock smoke fluid and one of those all plastic syringes they use to measures childrens' oral meds to suck out all the fluid. Like a mini vacuum. :)

Of course, you could always open it up and put in one of these 10 ohm 1 watt wire wound resistors and you'll get smoke like my Jagdpanther, but I'm starting to think that's a bit too much. All that smoke would only give away your position to those idiots in their Thunderbolts, or even worse, the Forked Tailed Devils. On the other hand, I've seen old footage of T-34s with diesel power and they smoke like crazy.

What I have done also is try angling the tank so that the smoker fluid tank opening is pointing downward and you might be able to drain the smoker out. Once you got the excess liquid out you will need to air dry it out somewhat as well.

Thank you once again gentlemen, the problem is with my tiger 1 pro version from our Chinese friends at heng long .... Just got in from fishing , and I also managed to pick some good sticks for foliage and camo purposes whilst I caught bugger all . Will read and try all your answers before the screwdriver comes out .
