Improving heng long IR recoil

I am coming to the point in my heng long build where I want to improve the action on the recoil. As standard, the the barrel is pulled back and then springs back to its starting position which is the wrong way round! Any suggestions or example threads you could point me to?
Cheers
Guy

Guy,
I seem to recall there were some discussion and success with actually installing the recoil unit backwards a long while ago........ The other option is to replace it with a Taigen recoil unit.

I will look at reversing the mechanism. At the moment I have the basic rx-18 Board so I think I would change to a Clark board if upgrading further.

Guy, I meant literally mounting it backwards. Don't think you can reverse it easily. If you upgrade then you will have other options. But if not, Taigen recoil really is a good alternative and it will work with your RX-18 board.

Michael, I think you're correct when you say it won't be straightforward. I searched for reverse heng long recoil and got more information whihc lead me to these threads;
