I have a HL Pantiger. Everyone knows that the Pantiger is built on the Tiger I 's lower hull. My question is if I get Tiger I 's upper hull, will it fit the Pantiger's lower hull? Just wanna make my Pantiger to become a real tiger.
Edit:
Here is what I've got today: FMS 2.4Ghz 4 channels transmitter with receiver. Can I connect this to the stock HL RX18 board and how?

I'm sure the bottom is identical to the early HL tiger, the rer panel will have to be changed as well because it is from a panther but fitted vertical. Also I believe the latest tiger upper has 2 screws at the front you will need the 1 screw version ,seem to remember someone on here doing a review ,on here, and commenting about the 2 screws.

Thanks Ian. I'm ordering an upper hull of the HL Tiger I with a rear panel. You can order almost every piece of the tank from taobao.com
Regarding the transmitter & receiver above, do you have any idea?

You need one of these dude

But how easy it will be to set up with your TX I don't know, you might be better off saving abit and looking at a better control board and TX too match such as an IBU2 package or Clark tk22

According to the link above, I need to buy a RC5HL-V9 to connect between the RX-18 and the receiver. right? Is the TX plug and play, or do I need to setup the TX what stick to do what? I don't even find a startup button on the TX. I see the RC5HL-V9 now upgraded to 5 channels, my remote controller is 4 channels. do they work together?
What about if I change the board as you suggested to IBU2 or TK22? is it more simple to do?

I take it your new to RC? I assume you can use your TX with the RC5HL, but I have no idea how you would set it up our if you do insect need a at least 5ch. The easiest option would be to buy a package which includes TX /RX and a new control board some thing like this

It's indeed the best solution for a RC newbie like me. However, the £145 price tag really scares me a bit. I wanna get my hands dirty anyway, if you guys are willing to help.
I ordered a CS-TK16 from China. It is said to support TX from 5 to 8 channels. I don't know what it would be. Let's wait and see. This babe costs 580 RMB which roughly translated into USD88.77.

OK, will get you update when it arrive. Actually, I order a whole lot of small stuff from China for my current and future tanks. Can't get better price anywhere else and I have friends there with companies in both countries so shipping can be free for me (save a lot, huh?).
The CS-TK16 series has another sister product; the CS-TK16-SWB dual axles stabilizer. Not sure how good it is but I believe the real Tiger I/Panther don't have any stabilizer, so I didn't order it. For future tanks like the ZTZ-99A or Leopard 2A6, maybe.

Hey Bird, I hate to be the one to break this, but if you expect the new hull top to bolt right on you have a surprise in store. Now, if you plan to make it a lift off top it's no problem, but as jagman said, they have changed the screw hole positions and the early versions are no longer available. I looked everywhere for a lower hull like yours, with just one screw at the front, and no joy. I have a brand new lower hull that would bolt right up to the upper you just ordered, but international shipping rates prevent me from just sending it to you. So once you get the new upper, the only way I can see to make it work is to go with a lift off top, and that means you'll need lower hull bracing. You said you're not afraid to get your hands dirty, and that's a good thing because you do have some work to do. It will be fun, though, and you'll get a great sense of accomplishment when it's done and we all tell you how good it looks.
We'll all be here to help so if you need any videos or dimensions from any of my tigers or anything like that, just sing out and I'll hook ya up.
Now, as for the RC5HL, I tried one and didn't like it. For some people they work great right out of the box but I wasn't one of those guys. I sent mine back for a refund and bought an IBBU2.

If I were you I'd spend the extra money and get the Clark TK22. It will run fine on your TX and you even have a five channel so if one channel can be assigned to a pot you can later add a Viper to get volume control from the TX.
What do you plan to do with the Pan Tiger upper hull? That might make a great bunker diorama. I've seen photos of tank turrets mounted on fixed pill boxes along the beach. Pretty cool. If you get really ambitious you could even make it functional.
Keep us posted, I'm looking forward to seeing this thing come together.
