Tamiya 1/16 tank led battle system

I am going to get a 1/16 scale Renault F-17 model tank and make it rc. But I was wondering, is it possible to make the tank out of electronics that I can hook up to the Tamiya led battle system? Could I easily buy the electronics that will work with the led battle system from places like ebay or hobbyking?
