Hi there.
Having received a new h/l. kv1 thank today and wishing to separate the top form the bottom,
I find that even after undoing the six screws from the base of the tank, I cannot get them to separate,
I am not new to tanks ,but t his problem is new to me, the front will unwillingly start to come apart. but then it seems
stuck fast, it feels as if there is another screw somewhere that is not readily visible, but I cannot find it.
normally these things fall apart, but not this one,
any help would be helpfull
the date stamp in the battery bay indicates that it was made in 1911.
so it is an old model, even though sold as new.
Cheers wads. :(

Hi Forge bear.
Ha Ha beat you to it. !!
The metal tracks were hiding them, simples when you know aint it !!
have now gotten to the interior,
Thanks for the help anyway,
I cannot recommend the heng long metal tracks though, poor quality stampings.
Cheers Wads.

Just a Suggestion Wads....leave those two screws off....also some on the bottom...I only kept four of the originals in mine..they are enough to secure and allow easy access for maintenance :D

I do that will all my HL....I like the secure feel of the screws so generally keep them in...I'm just a little more selective than the factory when putting them back...you really don't need them all to relieve any flex....just a few strategic ones :D

Good Luck on the build...sort of can't wait to see some photos ;) ............... :haha:
