Heres some pics of my panther D build using type g deck and hull and pantiger turret, still got a long long way to go, lot of cutting and shutting to fit pantiger turret to g type deck, and lots of other mods to deck to do, side slope on deck was done using car bondo to fill in to correct deck side slope. few mods done to turret to fit smoke launchers and change hatches , cuppola etc. redid back plate with correct exhaust stacks etc. Also added some side stoawage eg track holders and tube i was able to get from pantiger deck

Did a bit more today, shaved down old engine cooling fans to deck level, sanded down plugged big hole left in deck where old raised one was , then filled and added new fan cases from pantiger deck to correct D type panther spec and quickly put on some paint to show flaws, still loads to do around that area. also added box to side slope too.

 Thanks guys , ive since removed the g type toolbox after looking at some old photos of a panther D and noticed they were different more square and flat with the barb wire around them, also added another row of spare track links either side. Reused the pantiger tool box and barbwire surround, biggest next job is inserting the pantiger turret ring section into the big hole in the its new home on the deck, still did it with the panther a conversion so no problem really

Forgive my ignorance but is this a Panther or a Pan Tiger? The road wheels look to be arranged as a Tigers would, is this correct.

Hi jackalope im using same formula for this build as i did for my Panther A, im using a Panther G hull and deck and inserting a pantiger turret into the deck, this was suggested to me a long time ago by the venerable Alpha, and it looked good on the Panther A build. So this time i wanted to build a Panther D using same formula. ive also used the pantigers engine cooling fans, toolbox, cleaning rod tube, rear spare track links. ive modded the G deck front and rear to D spec. the angle of side slope was achieved by filling with car bondo filler. The bottom hull is from a panther gImage

black and white pic doesnt
have the smoke launchers so isnt strictly a D but other pics are D type Panthers.
