Is This The Worlds Rarest Tank ?

Went away for a long weekend to various spots, including the Australian National War Museum in Canberra.
'MEPHISTO' was proudly on display for the first time outside Queensland in ages.
A sight to behold indeed after almost 100years since it was made, deployed, destroyed & taken as a trophy of war.
Now, what could I use as running gear for a scratch -up of this thing ??

Hi mate, I have seen the A7V replica In the Panzer Museum in Munster which was great to see.
Doubt i will ever get to see Mephisto in the flesh tho.

I saw "Schmuck" at Tankfest earlier in the year. If I recall correctly "Schmuck" is a replica, correct me if I'm wrong though

I think Gra used a Panzer IV to build the hull and running gear on his A7V build. He sadly didn't quite get it finished but there is a good build thread on Hobby Havoc.

The one you seen was a replica, there is only one surviving model and if memory serves me rite its in a museum in Australia

thanks guys for all the help, and from this I have a better idea what am dealing with.
the reply mentioning the panzer 1v as a base,is great because that's where I intended to make a start. it wil save a heck of a lot of work.
and may not show much.
