Hi guys, new to this hobby. I was just wondering, is there any place I can get a radio transmitter/receiver combo plus a benidini soundbourd for my Tiger 1 tank in Canada? Where I live, there is no hobby shops around. Thanks, Steve.

Steve, where do you live in Canada? Chances you will need to buy it off the web.

Steve Hi, Why don't you knock the snow off your boots and tell us about yourself.
I mean you could be the new Prime Minister for all we know?
Anyway welcome to the Forum.

Yup, Dan is your man. He specialises in Benedini, and hooking them up to all sorts of boards. Depending on where you are the Canam Tank Club meets on the Toronto side.

Okay tankcats, are all Heng Long electric moters 12 volts? I have to ask, since I plan on upgrading to a much better sound bourd. Some manufactorers rcommend a 12 volt engine. Is this true? And YES for there electronics. Again, is this true? Again, thanks, Steve...

Steve,
Are you using your own EMCs and by passing the Heng Long electronics ? In general, Heng Long, Taigen, Clark all use 7.2v to 7.4v (7.2v NiMH and 2S lipo) input. I think IBU2 Pro will support 3S lipo. The motors on all these tanks will run off 12v/3S lipo no problem.
There is another CanAm tank meet in Fort Erie this Saturday, if you live in Welland then it is just a skip and a hop and I am sure there will enough knowledge there to answer any questions you might have.
You can always just run your sound off a separate power source also..........

I plan on removing all henglong electronics. The henglong sound bourds sound like they have sinus issues, we want tanks to sound like tanks.. Thanks for the advice Michael! Cheers!
