It's a Russian!

A couple weeks ago Squadron dot com had a sale and I got this Trumpeter Russian Officer figure for less than 6 bucks. The hat is too small and I didn't want to grind his poor head down but it does look good sitting on the tank. The SMG was a kit in itself, with a nice fret of PE that I used a few pieces from. For the sling I used the brown duct tape trick and the PE fret even has buckles for the sling.
Now all I need is practice at building figures.
I think I might try this promodeler wash to see if it makes the uniform details pop.
I have another of these guys under construction so when he's done I'll post his mug shot here.
