3 miles equals 96 miles right?

Ok so if I walked 3 real miles and my King Tiger came along for the walk that's equal to 96 miles for it right?

All off road and some in what would be rock and boulder strewn gullies not to mention mud and streams and VERY steep hills. Tank performed almost flawlessly except track pins coming out 3 times requiring the tank crew to break out the super glue on the side of the trail.
Also do tracks stretch? It seems that I've had to adjust the tensioners further and further, may have to remove a link for now. May have to just replace the tracks as the ice cleats are damn near worn off but I gotta say its been a lot of fun grinding them off!

Yes, six miles for you is 96 miles for your tank.

Remind me not to buy a one owner King Tiger from you Jack.
The blo*dy thing will be worn out, just like I would be after walking 6 miles!

Hi mate, unfortunately, if real, your King Tiger would have never made the 96 miles.
It would have either A: Run out of fuel, or B: been shot up by the RAF Typhoons.
Still quite a feat. Congrats.
My best effort was running a modified Mato Sherman at a show in Munster, Germany last year. It took part in four 20 minute shows a day over 3 days. This was a total of 4 hours running outdoors on grass and dirt, and all i did was to charge & replace the batteries.
Cheers
Tim

Nope....

...Don't you know Jack...everything is relative...the tank went the same distance as you did

Worn out? Naahhhhh...... he still wanted more! Besides I built this thing to be a runner not a carpet queen. Remember Shaun it's all metal from the side skirts down!
Tim, it was overcast and cloudy the RAF was grounded and I brought plenty of fuel with me, 3 5800mah 2 cell lipo batteries!

Used 2 of them and started on the 3rd when almost back to the car. Also used half a small bottle of mega steam and 38 bb's and 12 drops of crazy glue to fix the track pins.
Alpha, 6 miles for a 1/1 scale tank would be six miles. 6 miles for a 1/16 scale tank is equal to 96.
Does anyone know if the metal Taigen tracks stretch? I'm thinking I may need to replace mine.

All metal tracks stretch..each little link just a hair but then you compound that and wow the overall result is s t r e t c h!

I'd just remove a link. Wow 6 miles?! 300 feet seemed like a lot for me!

Tao, I'm going to remove a link today and clean and inspect the tracks real good today that should hold it till I can get new tracks. Ice cleats are almost all worn flat! But then I guess having run probably over 400 scale mIles I've driven it farther then most real KT's were driven!

Removing a link, which in the case of the KT is actually 2 was TOO much, had to just put it back in and use the tensioner for the idlers to take up the slack. Spent the morning cleaning it up and making a new spare track link holder for the turret cause I lost one somewhere in the park. Also realized the clear coat was textured and starting to look cloudy so some 1000 grit sand paper and wet sanded it all smooth again and it looks MUCH better now! Still runs like a champ now that its all back together, lost about 5 lbs during cleaning between all the dirt, rocks, sticks and leaves, WOW the leaves! EVERY road wheel was jammed full of them! the idlers were packed so tight with leaves and crap I had to take them off the tank and apart to get it all out!
Also I installed the mud flaps with brass hinges and soldered the hinges to the metal mud flaps and they didn't fall off come loose or get bent so now I can finish painting them as I'd say 96 scale miles off roading was a pretty damn good test.
