Servo questions

I am looking for a servo that will ideally give me 360 degree rotation, and that will rotate both ways.

I have been playing around with my transmitter and a couple of spare servo's that I have, and found that with a servo plugged into a receiver, and using a channel 5 pot control on the tx, I can move a servo back and forth, but of course this is only through 90 degrees.

The advertised 360 degree rotation ones say 'continuous' rotation, but preferably all I need is one 360 degree swoop, which can be stopped accurately, and also be reversed, with control via the pot on the tx.

Has anyone had any experience of the 360 degree ones?

Rob

A sail winch might be what you are after, they come with different ammounts of travel so I'm guessing you need a 1 turn one.

Edit

Something like this:

I did a Google search on sail winches, and lo and behold this guy does an excellent YT video on 360 degree conversions without using resistors. Took me about 5 mins to do and I now have a servo that does exactly what I want.
