StuG Ausf B - Mid 1941 - Armor on the Steppes

This build has been one of the longer ones to complete. As Michael can tell you, the combination resin and stock builds offer a gamut of challenges to run that while perplexing at times, can and do produce vehicles of amazing detail and accuracy. I'm not making any claims to that for myself or this StuG but it was amazing fun to figure out and when I did manage to succeed on some thorny or fiddly bit, the smiles made it all worth while. So, here you go, It is coming up on early Autumn, 1941 and the vast Steppes of Russia stretch before out before our intrepid StuG and it's crew...

Great looking unit.
Would like to see more early German stuff being done in gray before they started to use other colors on them in the eastern front.

Giant,
Thank you! It's a classic look and turned out good with the weathering. I can't say enough good things about the metal Taigen tracks and running gear. This StuG plowed through some grody stuff just like the real thing. The steel gearboxes and upgraded motors made a real difference. Even the roomie stepped out to say he was amazed that it was doing so well.

Painless

Good morning, Gentlemen,
Thank you all very much! The StuG is a grand, tracked Gun and worthy of recreation in all of it's many versions. I'll treasure this old Grrl for many years to come.

As well you should. A fantastic build of a Stug we don't see that often. Love the paint shading. Nicely done.

Schwerepanzer,
It was some terrific fun to bring to life. I owe Sassgrunt and Forgebear, Asiatam\Profiline and Taigen a great deal for providing inspiration and the parts and kits ( 3 ) that were needed to piece the 'B' together. There are so many pieces of armor out there that need to be built. With resin and the advent of 3D printers along with the major manufacturers finally climbing out of their tried and true ( Tigers, Panthers, Pershings and other late war vehicles ) pathways to try new vehicles, I hope to see many of them clanking and trundling along here in the pages of the Forum. ;o)
regards,
Painless

Jake,
Thank you, sir! A wink and a nod must be given to Model Masters enamels and Tamiya's excellent weathering kits. ;o)
