M36B1 available next month?

I just got an email from Mato Toys that says the all metal RTR M36B1 Jackson TD will be available next month at Matomart. Has anyone else heard anything about this? I don't know much about Mato's track record for estimated availability, but if they're as bad as the rest I imagine "next month" means I might be able to buy one around next March.

Never mind the Jackson.

I am still waiting for the M10.

I think the whole Heng Long M10/M36/M36B1 talk has been around for a while. I guess the M36B1 would be the easiest to do since it is just a Sherman chassis and they can do the sheet metal cover to hide the open cab......

Good Morning,
The T-72 looks fantastic, all of the new modern releases do. I'll eventually get around to doing builds of them. Like Swamprat tho', I have been awaiting the M10 for quite a while. I owe Crazy Joe a new command after all. ;o) The metal Mato stuff is pricey so the M10 will be the only one of that series that I buy.
regards,
Painless

Did they give any pricing info Gary?

No, Joe, not in this email, but there's a thread at RCU where Rona gave prices. For those that ain't familiar, Rona is the Mato rep on RCU. I'm not exactly sure, but I seem to remember that the painted, RTR w/clark board and the Mato version of the rebranded flysky TX (same as HK T6a) was in the $700 to $750 range (that's US dollars). They say they're also doing an M10 but I'm not sure when that will hit the market. These things seem to happen very, very slowly. :(

Thanks Gary, I'll check out their site. If my old memory is working today, I believe you have one of their tanks.

Thanks for posting the info and pics, I would love either of those. The Shermans are always great runners out of the box, and the T-72 would be great for turning into a battle weary Russian tank, they always look better when they are all beaten up. :P

Yes, Joe, I have the PzIII all metal mato. Great little tank. I got it before they started doing RTR and later bought the retrofit kit with the TK22. I know you're not fond of the clark but when you have limited space like that it can be handy and I kinda like the throttle on left driving style. I don't like it enough to give up my IBUs, but it has it's uses. I'm probably gonna get a clark for the new Sherman, since they're kinda tight inside, but I think I can get an IBU in the new Stug with the lift off top. And if it doesn't fit I'll just have to cram it into my PzIV!!

Hey Max, you know that the throttle on left is just a radio mode setting, and not specific to the Clark etc, right ? I think left drive (throttle and turn) is mode 1, and right drive is mode 2.
