Do you clean your tracks/wheels?

I just want to know - when you guys play outdoors: mud, gravel, sand... do you clean your tracks? wheels? underside of the hull?
If so - how do you clean your tracks? Do you take them off and wash them?

Is water ok on the track pins? ie the pins won't rust?

I take my tanks in mud and water all the time and wash them afterwards. Yes I pull the tracks and sometimes I even have to pull idler wheels to get everything out. I haven't had any problems with any rust on anything mostly because I don't think any of the metal on our tanks is steel or could rust. My King Tiger of which has been in water quite often still runs as good as the day I built it.

YES. And you MUST be careful! All my electronics are in a tub that is sealed except at the top, water has to fill the whole hull to up past the middle of my tanks before I'm in trouble. I'd like to seal them 100% but I'm not sure the IBU2 would like no air.

I think the only trouble I have is that darn dogs hair it gets in everything :'( do not start with cats hair
I don't worry about dust and a little dirt I'm talking about serious mud and slime.

I have 4 Siberian Huskies and 6 cats and if I don't have a fur problem, how can anyone? :haha:

Stick it in the kitchen sink on something that raises the tracks enough to run it without moving.

Add some soapy water to the height of the road wheels and drive it forwards/backwards.

Dirt will fall off and it'll smell nice :)

I look for things caught up in the tracks and road wheels. I do some driving on landscape bark, tracks and especially idlers don't like it.

Just tried Ad Lav's sugestion and added a toothbrush to the tracks. Works really well :)
