Whilst at Euromilitaire 2015 I saw something VERY exciting:
This is a completely new 1/10 scale RC Tiger and there are other tanks planned...

I just had a look and it seems that no one has posted about this on this forum so far (although it seems to have been discussed on other forums).

All I can say is that having seen these tanks 'in the metal' they are very impressive. The 'new' scale is a bold (and risky) move but somehow 1/10 makes sense to me. I have seen and handled a few 1/6 scale tanks (which is Action Man / GI Joe scale to those of us old enough to remember) and they are HUGE. Somehow this seems manageable.

$3000 US for their Tiger?!?! Well at least they have an AWESOME sense of humor! 1/10 scale would be cooler then 1/16 but not for $3000!

Wait a second..... if I want it to move it's another $500? They must be high.

Oh no! I'm sorry I wasn't trying to "shoot the messenger" very sorry if I came across that way as it was not my intention.

If I win the lottery I may get one, buuuut other then that I'll never be able to own one.

If I read correctly, the battlesystem is using gps positioning. Will this not eliminate hiding behind terrain, buildings etc?

They also make live steam kits so the machining quality should be excellent. If I read the specs correctly you can shoot each other at 240m? Think the monthly meets are going to need bigger premises....

Hi Adam, 1/6 Armortek will cost a fair bit more than that.
I paid £3200 for my 2nd hand 2009 Panther G.
This was built straight from the kit with no detailing, had a very basic paint job and had no Sound or Smoke units.
It also had a non working Futaba 7 channel radio that had to be replaced.

I know of an unfinished ( needs painting ) King Tiger that the owner wants 6k.

New Armortek kits with all options will be around 6k or more. the halftrack is a bit less but still a lot more than £2500.

the big advantage of 1/10 tanks is that they can still be picked up and put in your boot without using ramps etc.

Just checked the website - didn't realise they were pushing £5000 for a Tiger. Gone up since I looked a few years back.

Just for reference, the model, and electronics (and shipping) for my Armortek SDKFZ 222 were about $6,000 USD. That's the cheapest RC model they have, tanks are a fair bit more unless you find a deal.

I've spent $2000 on my 1/16th Tiger anyway, so I can see $3500 for a quality 1/10th. But that's me.
