Very easy it's a turret from a Panzer IV this was a modification done to a Bergpanther by Schwere Panzer Jager Abteilung 653 this unit used Fedinand/Elefant the Bergpanther was modified to give the vehicle some defence when in the field in Russia the turret didn't rotate it was in a fixed position the gun was aimed like a Stug or Elefant something the crew where very adapted to

I've got a surplus panzer 4 turret if you need one - you'll need Modellino's Pz IV H gun barrel and mantlet to complete it tho.
(I butchered the HL mantlet in the hope of correcting it - needless to say I failed miserably...)

cheers mate, that would be great let me know what you want for it, wasn't there a post on here about someone who sells tamiya spares ? if i can get the panther g upper hull which i know can be bought separately then the jagd upper hull can go too anyone who wants it.
the plan is when i come to a meet people are gonna be wondering what the heck is that  ??? and this will give me a few extra seconds to get in the first shot, CLEVER EH!!  ;D ;D ;D

Hi Tony
You can try the AAF museum shop for Tamiya spares, I'm told the lady in charge is very helpful - http://www.aaftankmuseum.com/RC-Tank-Parts.htm. I think Andy was hoping to get into Tamiya spares as well...?

Right, I've had a scrounge around - I do have a mantlet, but no barrel (which would be wrong anyway) and I've robbed the elevation motor for my T34/76... :P Now all I need to do is find all the screws... :o
10 quid should cover P&P (hopefully)

For 25 euro's I'd still recommend Peter's gun and mantlet kit, its soooo much better looking that the HL... He also does the single peice comanders hatch as well.
And plans for the turret schurzen are posted in my member space ;)

Cheer's
Mart

Or you could cheat, and install the turret traverse ;)
Guys will be looking at it thinking "ah, its that fancy BergPanther thingy... he's facing away from me, I'm in no danger" and then the turret suddenly twists around... :o :o :o
