Unimax 1/24 RC tanks - ????

Ok, I've seen two threads so far by guys asking if Unimax 1/24 tanks are any good. Lack of responses to those inquiries did not provide sufficient data to create a conclusion. :D

So I ask: are these 1/24 RC tanks by Unimax any good? I'm somewhat interested in their Panzer IV.

Thanks.

Unimax are forces of valor. Vstanks are the ones I'm thinking of.

atctge,
I thought that I had replied previously. Apologies if not. Tom is right. The VS tanks are better detailed and have good IR and airsoft capability. They were started as an effort to bypass the 1/24 Heng Long tanks and come closer to the Tokyo Marui types which at the time were superior in every way. The Forces of Valor vehicles were aimed at capitalizing on their excellent reputation as a 1/32 scale diecast manufacturer and slicing off a piece of the 1/24 RC tank market like VS had done. They were designed to be more 'play' worthy with flexible molded MGs and aerials and some cool extra cost accessories like IR responsive anti-tank guns and targets. If you are looking for a tank to run and do some detailing on, the VS tanks are what you want. If you want to do backyard IR shoot outs, go for the Forces of Valor vehicles.
regards,
Painless

Thanks guys! I thought VS was under the Heng Long brand. ISTR seeing VStanks in their website some months ago....

ALPHA, yeah. The chibi figs apparently are shorter in stature compared to your typical 1/35 figures. And on a 1/16 tank, they are positively tiny - enough to be stowage hahahahahaha! So I was looking for a 1/24 Panzer IV for Team Anglerfish - although the 1/16 Taigen Panzer IV F2 looks soooooo tempting hehehehehe

I might also scratchbuild a Hetzer of unknown scale just for President Anzu. She's so spoiled, demands her own tank bwuhahahahahahahahaha!

If I scratchbuild a Hetzer, it sure won't be accurate. I can imagine how difficult it will be to make the running gear. The tracks alone will be the major problem hahahaha! A static scale model simply won't do. President Anzu wants an RC Hetzer so that Hetzer's gonna Hetz hehehhe

There are times I wish I had gone 1/24th scale with the GUP tanks....but at the time I didn't know there were so many available...Think your Chibis are perfect for that scale...and Anzu will be happy finding a home in one of your "not so detailed" tanks ;) .......... :D

PS..."Not so detailed"...yeah right...bet it will be spot on less the grab handles :haha:
