JST extended cables.

The most annoying thing about charging a LI-PO in a Tiger 1 is that it has to be done outside the Tank.
And with a restricted length of JST cable between the body of the Tank and the Hull it means either removing the cable from the hull and also in my case disconnecting the TARR 2 refill pipe from the foreward petrol filler cap (an easy modification that lets me fill up without opening the Tank)and separating the body from the Hull or struggling to do the change over while the JST cable is still connected
My question is can I get a male to female JST 8 pin cable to act as an extension cable which would allow me the chance to lift the Body& turret clear from the hull while not having to disturb the wiring while changing the battery? shaun

Not seen anywhere. Found five pin. I'd be after a few if you do figure it out. Did find the plugs on ebay canlink later if I remember.

Found it

And the wired units

I've bought stuff from inhelume (the UK one), very quick delivery so depends whether you want one or a wait.
Combine those with the 5-pin extenders and you can lift the top off easily. I'd want something covering the gear boxes though - that's a lot of spare cable floating around inside the hull!

Rob, Thank you, Absolutely what I am after,
I am surprised this question has not been raised before,
What does not surprise me is how quickly members of this Forum just like the 7th Cavalry come riding over the hill to the rescue, yet again thanks Rob, enjoy what's left of your weekend.

No worries. Let me know if they're any good - will order a few once I get sorted.
Just finished packing, so that's pretty much the end of the weekend.... Aberdeen tomorrow with work.

Pete I think you have misunderstood my question,
It is because I will not charge LI-PO's in a Tank that I asked if there was a male /male 8 pin JST cable that I could use as an extension that would let me open the Tank further than the present length of cable allows to make it easier to get the LI-PO out for charging.

Assume you mean male-female as an extension? That's what I found as can also cut the ends off to connect to a slip ring (if I don't get on with the crimp tools).

I hope that is what I meant because that is what I have ordered.
Just one more example of my computer failing to tell me when I am speaking rubbish

Not sure I'd want to charge a lipo inside an RC. Could have dire consequences even if it starts swelling, let alone the fire thing.
