Does anybody have a link to the type of wick used in the TARR? Mine burned out right at the resistor either due to
being too tight on it or voltage. I have some but it's more course and doesn't seem to wick up nearly as well. Thanks! Tom

Hi Tom,

Not certian what wick is used in the TARR but years ago when I was playing with smokers, I read on a forum (might of been this one) about using kevlar for the wick, so this might be useful.

I bought some of this

Kevlar and Nomex wicks work fantastic and they're damn near burn proof! Cheapest place to get more then you'll ever need is to go get an Ov-glove. If you don't recognize the name it's an oven mit/glove that is burn proof/flame proof that's sold for like $10. I cut it into strips and wrap it around the resistor and use a staple to hold it in place and TA-DA new wick!
