Battle for Cologne

Post by wibblywobbly »

Two excellent sites.

This one documents everything that happened that day.

This guy is painstakingly building a 1/35 scale diorama of the whole thing.

This is what happened.

Seen some clips of that before I think - is that where the Pershing and Panther duel it out?

I think Painless has the full story
but from memory there were two Pershing specials in the European theatre at the time and at least one of them was in and around Cologne and it came through unscathed after accounting for a Panzer 4, a Panther and a King Tiger,
Truly an if only Tank.
Just imagine what it could have done if it had entered service nine months before in Normandy? shaun
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

Found another video, and a very tragic one at that, about the battle.
