A34 Comet

Hi all,

Been working on Christian Ludwig's Comet kit for the past two weeks. I was always curious about the British tanks from Ludwig, but was not too thrill on the lower chassis. Then saw a local forum member built the Cromwell with a mod Heng Long T34 chassis so decided to do the same. Quite please with the result, too cheap to get the proper sprockets from Christian, so will put on a late PzIV instead when they arrived. The kit has pieces for barrel recoil, and I added HL elevation, with the usual Clark electronics (Tiger sadly....... No Comet Clark). Road wheels are from the HL Leo which looks the part anyway. Idlers are ZTZ modded. I also have to change the gears to low profile to make the upper fit properly.

Thanks guys....... Ian, one of these days when I grow up I will get an IBU and you can send me all the sound files that I missed (Firefly, Comet, Bradley ?!?!) out. I am not a big sound guy, and Heng Long is almost good enough.... :-)

Very neat looking job there. The Brits used a lot of Sherman's but they did produce tanks of their own design and field them.
I wish HL would produce British ww2 tanks, they would corner the market which I think would be huge 1/16 scale rc.
