Heng Long Panzer III

I've finally got all the parts I need to build my Panzer III. Not touching the running gear this time. I can do that at a future date if I feel the need.

I'm changing the storage box on the turret for a metal one that opens.
metal opening hatches for the back where I will relocate the power switch.
Changing the main gun and fitting recoil and IR emitter.
IBU2 Pro (just because I love the way they drive and customize)
Swapping the machine gun out for a metal one with LED.

Paint job will be the typical grey that a lot of german vehicles started life as but then a dark yellow cammo. This is one of the cammo's that was used when they were low on paint.

Recoil fitted, new gun barrel, metal storage box and metal cupola. I've put a bigger led behind the coax machine gun so the hole the gun sticks out of should light up butter when the gun is fired

Painted the top, but now the traverse and elevation motor is playing up. The recoil wont reset after firing and the barrel flash LED has blown. Worst luck ever.... lol

Looks very nice. Will a 3 mm led fit in the barrel for muzzle flash?

I've got a replacement LED on the way. Think it is a 3mm. I gave it 3v via 2 AA batteries to test it. It lit up once then died ... lol

Hopefully getting the traverse working this evening. Tankbear has said the airsoft motor should be a good replacement

It is really coming along! Don't forget to light up those Convoy lights. ;o) The PZ III is such a great tank and a good base for other builds.
