Hover boards are easy. Get a vacuum cleaner (set to blow & remove the bag/cyclones), a sheet of plywood, a strip of thick polythene & some string and make your own. All you then need is a long extension cable.

I've seen the latter at one of the UK inland dive sites (Cheltenham). Didn't fancy trying it, but they did get to a fair height.

What brought the Jet Pack to my attention was a program called Duck Dynasty ...not sure if it's shown where you are...but yes in the program the guy that owned the unit and the star of the show Willie Robertson... took flight...the owner was pretty well practiced and did some amazing things...Willie then suited up and took his turn....Floundered a little...but ended up with some marginal success in lifting off
Saw the Fly board on another program called Bidding wars....one of the people that won a bid on a storage locker found one in it...took it to get appraised and got to demo one already set up ...pretty ingenious thoughts went into those gadgets
There's a cove here in Hawaii...Port Lock...where they have the Jet packs...I wouldn't mind giving it a try....but the fees are meant more for tourists than locals

not to mention ...I don't fancy sitting on a barge for three hours for a crack at it
So I'll be satisfied being a spectator...till someone I know makes an investment

Sounds better than over here. Water was (a warm) 12C when I was there last September; it was cooler at 35m in the main pit.

In that cove I mention in my reply..the water temp is about the same constant because there isn't any drop off...what would make it unbearable is sitting in the sun unprotected...the way the sun comes through the atmosphere is different now ...an unknowing beach goer could get burned in a few mins...I get burned riding my bike...and I wear three shirts the final covering is long sleeved
They take close to thirty people out to that barge...have them take turns on Two ski outfits ...by the end of a charter...most of the people look like boiled lobsters
Carpe Diem Rob
