Hey All,
I am pretty new to tanking, in fact, so new I have never owned a tank, but am looking to get one to try things out.
Just a bit of RC history....
I have been playing with RC kit for over 30 years, I started off as a 8 yo playing with Tamiya Sand Scorchers and the likes, and then left if for a long time when in high school. Dabbled a bit as a teenager and then left it for some time. Picked up again when I moved to Dubai 15 yrs ago, and have held the hobby to get into planes and heli's. I currently have a 30cc Aerobatic Plane, a 50cc Hawker Typhoon on the build table and a 2m wingspan De Havilland Mosquito. All this time I have collected, refurbed and sold a number of Tamiya collectables including Sand Scorchers, Bruisers and some others. I dabbled a bit with racing, but there are very little facilities to the car stuff, so I fly instead.
I have never really had an interest in tanks, but always thought it would be nice to own one, just to tool around with.. There are no clubs and none of the fly guys are going to be interested in 'playing' with tanks, so whatever I get would just be for my own amusement.
Looks like a nice enough place, and I will seek most of my info from here I suppose.
Howdy!
