Lovely shots, mate. The paint scheme and colours seem to blead in with any of the backgrounds you took photo's in. Thats a nice peice of work well done.

Jeeeeezzzzz maaate
A river ??
Anyone that mentions carpet-queen & Mr Jack in the same sentence needs a whack in the donaldson air cleaner
Ive been into Maryland in 2010 & do remember the scenery being rustic, but never went looking for a stray 1/16th RC King Tiger that got washed downstream from its brave owner
Great shots on a great subject sunshine, all power to you for getting that work even close to let alone IN a bloody natural watercourse

I love the tank which looks super, but am I the only one who gets a little a little nervous when I see a beautifully done beast such as this one subjected to the whims of nature like this?

Thanks guys! This stream is in Patapsco Valley State Park in a part you don't have to PAY to get into. The water never went above the side skirts except when splashed up by the driving, the electronics are all safe and sound mounted about an 1.5 inches off the tanks floor and surrounded by walls so the water would have to be pretty deep to fry it. I'm thinking of re-doing where the electronics sit to be a water tight compartment sealed by rubber so I'd never have to really worry about them.
But I was careful, never played in the deep end and it made it all the way back to my car just fine.

This is the reason I have limited the fragile detail bits to a minimum because I know I'd destroy them!

Can't water proof the hull itself due to the torsion bar suspension but what I do is set the electronics about an inch off the floor of the tank and built a box with an open top that has sides about another inch over the electronics. The water would have to fill the lower hull totally and get to an internal depth of over 2 inches before the electronics would get hit with water. I may however make a lid for the electronics so there would be no worries at all. But its not like I use it for a sub!
