freeing Tiger 1 axles.

Not very long ago I asked if there was anyone who would drill my axles for me, It is just me not wanting to do it myself,
Well on the advice of a lot of good friends I filed a flat into the tail of all 36 axles!
But as I slid them into the wheels I noticed what may well be the cause of my axles not being held by the grub screws,
A number of the axles were not going the full distance through the wheel, I ran a Drapers round file through the wheel centre and pushed an axle up the wheel centre from the opposite end, I was surprised how tight some of them were, after working them in and out I finally had free flowing axles but it was certainly a problem I had never even considered,
But at least it was easily fixed,
I do wonder if it was my fault when I painted the wheels or whether some of the wheels were narrower bore than the others,
although HENG LONG/TAIGEN/TORROs close engineering tolerances makes me blame my painting not the wheels,
Of course I should add that these are metal wheels.shaun
