Are there any members on here from the northeast of england or borders of scotland ? I m reading about the fantastic days out and club meets in the yorkshire and southern areas and think us northern lads and lasses should form a club. We could of in hindsight had a meet last weekend at the armned forces weekend that was held in Sunderland. Im sure they are other members from up here who have already thought about this.?

One suggestion is that rather than try and find people to form a club, is to form a club and let them find you? Plonk an ad in the clubs section, and see who contacts you. It might take 12 months to get anything off the ground, but eventually a network of contacts will appear out of nowhere. It doesn't have to be a club with a load of officials and a venue, it can just be a name with you as a contact point. The forum is great for contacts, there are people out there with no idea that each other exist, and some never post on forums for various reasons.
There are many avenues for communication nowadays, and much of what is discussed never actually appears on here, so potential members aren't aware of how this hobby has grown in the past couple of years, it has gone from zero to at least 3 independent regional clubs, all of whom work with each other and get on really well. The only way that anyone finds out is to get in touch with those already in the hobby, and then all is revealed.
