Hi to all forum members and fellow grantham light armoured division club members :D , i did some more work to my early panther which i have shown here, this was a heng long panther g hull and deck which i cut and shut and replaced the turret with a pantiger turret and cut n shut the deck to fit. The hull was also modified to an earlier spec. i have now changed the exhaust stacks from the twin pipes to the earlier 3 and 1 stack exhaust pipes which is more accurate for the A. other small stowage items have been added,

nice job, although not too sure about the colour. Is it green or grey?
It looks like a Panzer Olive sort of colour.

All Panther D and A would have left the factory in Dunkelgelb and have field applied Green or Brown or both to make the 3 colour camo rather than grey that was phased out in Feb 1943.

The first Panther A rolled off the various production lines in early September 1943.

By this time all vehicles would be factory painted in Dunkelgelb.

Your tank will be one of the first fitted with the Kugelblende MG ball mount starting in Late November 1943.

Colour asside, it still looks great and i can appreciate the hard work that went into making it.

Cheers

Tim

Thanks for the info Tim and appreciation, the colour is a dark green that it is finished in. future plans when i get a decent airbrush is to make it a 3 colour cammo paint job.
