Home made decal problem

Hi All,

I bought some decal paper for my inkjet printer and made a set of decals for my PzIV.
What I didn't buy was the 'fixing spray' that the vendor recommended.
Consequently when dropped in water the ink rubs off and my decals are ruined.  >:(
Do I need to buy the fixing spray or is there an alternative?

John

I use normal car laquer on my water slide decals, but i do leave them to dry overnight before i put the laquer on.

I've just found a tin of clear matt plasticote project paint in the odds & sods cupboard and gave them a spray with that. If that fails I'll certainly give your method a try.

Cheers

If you want to make waterproof decals get your self a Epson printer with the dura-brite ink it is water proof won't run if it gets wet. I used to have one of these Epson printers and it was fantastic

Pete,

Do a search on Ebay for 'Water Slide Decal Paper'. I got a pack of 5 A4 sheets, 3 clear and 2 white for a fiver. I got the plasticote clear matt paint from B&Q, can't remember how much but it's a big tin.

Oz,

Will post some pics today.

Cheers
John
