Ok, so I have some suitable plastic tubing for mounting the 5mm IR LED - the question is, how long should that tube be? Too short and it will hit everything, too long at it will hit nothing
Answers on a postcard to the usual address...

Tip of the IR LED should be 9 mm from the end of the tube!
