Whats the best way to check that the running lights work or the mg/led/lights, prior to fitting on the tank. I have tried using a battery to power them up but to no effect ?

personally i hook them direct to the wiring ie back were they come from

if you want to try a batt dont forget the resistor as you will blow the leds

the voltage off the top of my head is 4.5v

I disconnected the lights and mg as Im wiring in a  RX-18 Board.( HL TIGER)  Sods law, the 8 pin turret connector is kaput. Im using an 8 pin pole connector into the 18s 8 lead and  I have a wiring diagram, I have got turret traverse and elevation, but cant get the mg to light. So I was just wanting to test to see if it was the led or wrongly wired in.

Thanks for the response though.

Hi,

Yes, I have managed to get the mg and headlight working (just now)  2 out of the 3 LEDS were Kaput. What I have found is, the plug in connectors on the RX-18 Board to turret cable and the board itself are temperamental. The connections between board pins and cable plug connectors are no way as good as they should be, and the circuit is too easily broken.

As you wire in the KT watch out for this.

Thanks for the help and advice, thats what makes this a great forum, help is only a click away.  :)

no problems glad to of been of help even if it is just to go through things

have noticed connection issues with the RX18 boards the one on the K/T was the speaker :o :o ::)

with the RX14s tended to hard wire the connections just incase
wonder if anyone else has noticed this?
