Hi everyone! I need opinions!  ;D

Im going to paint my Tiger 1 in the typical German grey, but I need opinions on which spray colour to use, and where to get it from.

Which spray paint looks the most accurate? I would airbrush, but can't afford one at the moment.

Regards,
Rik

Tricky one that, Im shortly to face the same problem and Im of teh opinion that we are jointly buggered!  Humbrol in their ultimate wisdom dropped the colour from their spray range along with Olive drab and desert yellow( how stoopid is that? ::))  and Tamiya have it in their spray range but theres no uk stocks at present. May be a save up for the airbrush Im afraid. Having said that due to the size of the model one of the Humbrol single action jobbies will do it Ok and they are about £20 and you can get those anywhere. I have heard though not tried it that if you take a tin of paint to a car resprayer's they will mix the colour to match. Anyone shed any light on this idea?

Actually just solved my own question, went to the garage next door, he gave me a number and its for a paint supplier in New malden in surrey, any colour in cellulose, near as damn match about about £14 a tin for 300 ml. I might give them a try and if any good ill post up the results. Might be worth getting a club batch made.

Wahts cellulose like though? never used it... :-\

Hi guys just a word of warning about celulose paint the fumes are nasty stuff ( toxic ) and it stinks. I have one idea that may work for you both. Get on a well known auction site and see if you can find an aerosol can you can fill yourself .I bought one of these cans for about £10 and what you can do is add any colour paint you like enamel, acrylc, celulose ect ( as long as it's thined down ) then you can add pressure with a car foot pump bicycle pump or compressor via a built in valve. Then use just like any automotive spray. If you can't find one in the UK let me know and if it's feasible I can lend you mine. All the best for now

Full of thinners and this stuff just loves to destroy plastic so if you are going to use it try some on postcard before you paint your tank better to destroy the spare plasticard than the tank, if you type "Tamiya vaporisent la peinture" into Google you will come up with http://www.twenga.fr/dir-Jeux-Jouets,Mo ... e-maquette they do mail order but you could e-mail them and ask
Hello
is it possible to post Tamiya TS? paint to England also do you take Paypal
Thank You
Salut est il possible de poster Tamiya TS? la peinture en Angleterre aussi vous prenez de Paypal Merci
Don't forget to insert your Paint number after TS or RS if that's the colour you are after sometime next year we will be going back to Brussels then I can supply this paint again

I did find a site in germany that sells the Tamiya Sprays, Axels Modellbau Shop, but I think i'd get hit with massive import taxes.

I would love to use the Krylon Camoflague Ultra-Flat, but its another one you can't get your hands on  ???

You will not get hit by "Import duty" of any amount as Germany and England just happen to be in the EU which has free trading I have also ordered stuff from Hong Kong and never been hit by Import duty this includes multiple Tamiya tanks in one order and air-soft guns though the guns where back in the good old days, I have only been hit twice from the US once was because the idiot doubled the value of contents and entered it on the import paper work and the other was because there where two parcels at the same time in total I must have had over 150 parcels from HK and the US.

Rocket, thought you may be happy to hear that the paint service would be back on
