Seems that from the moment it got to Europe to its scrapping at the end of the war the SP was constantly being modified in one way or another.
I love/ hate the M26. The lower half is great, loads of room and the running gear is one of the best on any RC tank I've seen but the way the gun mount and turret go together is a nightmare.

Woz,
Having finished an M26 rebuild earlier this year, I hear you on the likes and dislikes. Your SP is clean, beautifully done and a pleasure to look at. ;o) I really like your adjustable turnbuckles for the fenders.

It's cause they broke down almost as much as a KT did!
Kidding aside you did a hell of a job building it.

Unusual ?
It was painted Olive Drab with black stripes.
Next time I pick up a cheap M26 I may convert it into a Patton
