Sheet Metal & Plastic

As per the title what should I use and what thickness?

I was thinking of tin for the metal but notice someone else is using aluminium, I will be reinforcing a lower hull, ideally something I can use tin snips on but will still give good rigidity.

The plastic initially I intend to use for bulkheads inside the lower hull, then various other things.

Not something I've ever done before so all help welcome.

Thanks

Tony

Fiberglass resin is great for reinforcing a lower hull. Mix it, pour it in, let it dry, shape with a Dremel tool. You can do the sides too by simply tilting the lower hull to allow the resin to flow to the sides.

I've tried using aluminum but found even with epoxy resin getting it to bond to itself or plastic was a weak point and didn't last long. I've not used tin but imagine unless you've some experience could be tricky.

That's just my 2p worth.
