Been away from home a lot recently, so while I was away I started work on a small hatch cast hull M4a1. When I got home I started printing and after 23 hours of printing (over 3 days) I ended up with this-
When printing the front section part of the printed support got knocked off but I spotted it in time to save it (hence the spit in the side).

Thanks
Been busy so not got much done on any of my tanks. Most of the parts needed for this tank have already been designed for other projects so its just a case of changing a few things and printing them out-

Woz im in constant awe of the limitless capabilities that 3D printing can bring to this hobby and the skill it must take to just create these parts.
I'm very impressed, keep up the great work.

Nice work Woz, it is no easy feat doing compound curves to scale, so hats off to you. 23 hours?? lol...I hope you didn't sit there watching it.

Thanks
@ww - I didn't sit watching it but I did get a lot of exercise running up and down stairs to check on it every hour.

Hi Woz ,I am not knocking your work its a good bit of work , but is the front angle correct, it seems wrong to me ( I may be wrong) it could be the photos . here is a small hatch early Sherman see photo. the front angle looks flat with curves at the sides.

I took most of my measurements off some scaled up plan drawings -

and by looking at lots of pic's, then made it fit the HL hull so it might not be accurate. Curves are always hard to model so I guess I can always get the sandpaper out.

This is looking really interesting, for me because I modified a large hatch A1 to a small hatch but not perfectly (I intend to redo it more accurately) and it took a lot of effort.
I'm just curious what the material cost is with printing such a large piece like the upper hull?
Cheers
