Stug III Traverse

Hello!
While waiting for my upgrade parts to turn up I've been thinking of things I would like to improve if possible.
Main thing that bugs me is the fact it has no traverse on the gun. Has anyone ever done a fix for this that they can share?
I've seen some interesting fixes for the recoil, but I can live with this for now.
The gun moves up and down by pulling back on the left stick, would be nice to change this to move in the direction of the stick but again, I can live with this.
My main consern is the lack of room in the Stug, so if anyone can offer an experienced oppinion on the above
