I just got these from Ali Express/Heng long Store for $60 US plus ship.

They also have one with different motors for $50...They have flange bearings in all the gears, including the output shaft. And the gears are the black steel type. I'm putting these in my Panther G, right now I'm just breaking in!

if you have motors you like you could get the ones for 50, those have the regular motors. The blue motors are geared for a lot of torque!

I finally got around to installing these gearboxes in my Panther G. The perform very well, indeed - they have plenty of torque, which i found out by my very scientific testing of trying to keep the shaft from turning by pinching it while running. They also make the tank very fast - anyone looking for scale speed might not be happy with the gearbox for that reason alone. If scale speed is desired, you would possibly want a motor swap for less power.

The panther G is just about bone stock. I like how it is out of the box - a bargain Ebay i got 5 or 6 months ago, for $60 shipped. All i changed was to add 2.4 ghz radio, and these gearboxes and I'm happy with it.

After installing the gearboxes and getting the usual install issues out of the way, like wires out of place and needing re-routing etc. (for instance, there was one moment of slight alarm, when it appeared the small gear on the output shaft, might actually be touching the inside of the hull! But a piece of paper slipped in front of the gear, proved there is actually just enough clearance.) i was surprised to find there was no pulling in either direction - tank drove rail straight even at top speed!

The motors are not just powder coated pretty they really are top grade performing motors - at least compared to what i am used to. Also those bearings really do seem to smooth out the action to a startling degree and it is apparent with the tank in motion.
So, if you're looking for a gearbox upgrade, or just a stronger motor/gearbox to pull your heavy tank with metal treads - might want to give this gearbox a try - I think they're well worth the $60.
