Hello again!

I've modeled with smaller scale before and used moss for shrubs and you can buy tiney scale trees to butcher for branches. What do people use for 1/16 scale? My first thoughts are that you can get away with some moss for small bush's, maybe heather for tree branches?

You can use thick copper wire to twist together for trunks and branches and then your moss or heather for the scrubbery and leaves in a static diorama, or on the areana we set up for battles I use old plastic christmas trees where each branch is used as a separate tree from the longer branches and the short ones from the top can be used for bushes.

Try using real branches or pieces of them. They work great in this large scale. If you can find dried up grapevines they make good smaller branches and even trees if you use the larger parts of them. Leaves in large numbers are a problem but glued on model railroad foam treetop net ( not lichen ) that can be stretched out with the thin stringy stuff that foam is attached to can be used by itself or added to branches to make treetops or spread out thin for low bushes and groundcover just as you would use it in model railroading.

I used to do model railroading and this is the stuff we'd use.... http://woodlandscenics.woodlandscenics.com/ Along with real branches and sticks the stuff from woodland scenics would give you the "leaves" for the camo.
