Hallo Matt Welcome to the Forum, as Alwyn said this is a hobby that will cost you,
I hear what you say about being employed, but unless you are the Governor of the Bank of England you will still wince at some of the expence,
A loving partner and a rich grand parent are what's required.
As you advance through this hobby you will have questions, please do ask cos we like to show how much we know.

Ditto what's been said above, be prepared to spend . I only got my first RC Tank two weeks ago and I've already spent close to £1K on upgrades and another Tank kit

Welcome to the forum only had mine for a few weeks as well went to my first meet today the people on here are just as nice in real life.
