I cant be much help on the Jeep thing, but there are loads of helpful jokers in here that can help Im sure.
Please take the time to look through the pages of historic builds in your favourite catagory..........there are/have been some spectacular projects gone before and plenty of ideas to assist and inspire.
Welcome in mate

Good Morning,
Welcome to the Forum! There is not a tremendous difference between 1/16 and 1/18 scale jeeps. Now that I have said it, some manufacturer has probably already done their level best to make a liar out of me, I am sure. 1/16 and 1/18 scale soldiers normally look good next to each other as well. ( Notice that I said normally ;o) Looking forward to pictures of your diorama.
regards,
Painless
