Track cable

I have the ABER track cable and I really do not want to try winding microscopic lengths of wire around each end to secure the loops, my thought is to slide a small length of "Heat Shrink over each end, HEAT and then the loop being formed and secure, wrap the wire around the heat shrink to give the appearance of a proper job. Any thoughts would be welcome.shaun

That's a hell of a good idea! Wish I thought of it when I did my first one. After the heat shrink I wouldn't bother with the wire, if you look at the real cables they look like smaller versions of the tow cables. The ends should be the same but the kit uses wire instead of the brass like the tow cables, not sure why.

I would think you'd need to make the loop on the end and then heat the cable so it'll keep more of the loop shape before you try the heat shrink. After the heat shrink I'd put a drop of crazy glue inside the heat shrink on the loop side to help hold it permanently.

Great idea mate gonna use it myself!
