Could this be what every one has been waiting for ? A battle system thats compatible right across the board ? Utilizing the HL Tower it will link into a HL RX 18 board and be apparently compatible with every battle system  HL, Elmod, Tamiya, Dbu. ?

So its a DBC, with the DBU replaced by a modified HBU and a better sound card - not really sure what this offer's above and beyond what The Blitz has been selling for a while now

Sound good to me. compact, easy to install and works with the new RX18 from HL

From the picture that was posted in your link, I don't see how the modified HBU will interface with the Rx-18 control board?

IMHO the picture shows the exisiting DBC system - all this kit adds (AFAIK) is that they take a HBU and fit a single IR sensor from the DBU kit in place of the factory fitted sensor to make it Tamiya compatable. YHR posted this mod on RCU a while ago. The only difference between this and what The Blitz sells is that you don't have to pay for the other 3 IR sensors that the standard DBU has, and you don't have to pay him to build a sensor tower for you. you still need the DBU to receive hits and send the appropreate signal to the IR emitter (which operates on a different wave length to the one that ships with the HL IR tanks)

Davids battle circuits work with Rx-13, Rx-14 and Rx-18 boards. I don't see any reason why the kit posted in the OP will not work with all of these boards either.

The bigger news in this thread was the sound card.  This is a sound card that isn't just, "hit" and "fire sounds".  It interfaces with the HL electronics, allowing you to customize the engine sounds as well.  The HBU mod is just "old news" to me.  The sound card though, that's the real story. 

wow, so you dont have to have every tank sounding like a tamiya sherman, except cheaper!
