Hi,

Just hit my 30th year and decided to get into something I always wanted to do when I was young and penniless!

Bought a Heng Long Panzer III smoke and sound (and a Syma X5C-1!) and looking forward to fiddling with the numerous metal upgrades etc. Planning to mimic the same tank in Afrika Corps camo at Bovington Tank Museum which is just down the road from me.

Quick question if it is OK, has anyone put a little glue on the road wheels of one of these tanks to stop them from separating so easily? Mine pop off every now and then which is a little annoying!

Thanks in advance, looking forward to spending a lot of time here!

Martin

Hi Martin welcome from another relative newbie. The guys on here are great and always very helpful (especially to a clueless old git like me :haha: ) anyway I am sure someone will be along fairly quickly to answer your query - sorry I wouldn't have a clue myself. Happy rc tanking anyway and I hope you have enough cash to support your new addiction! Alwyn

Good Morning,
Welcome to the Form! Bovington is right down the road from you? Lucky! I don't think that those road wheels are supposed to come apart unless you need to separate them to tighten the screws. If the cover is solid and just snaps into place, you might try gluing a small rare earth magnet onto the back of the cover\front of the road wheel. It will attach itself to the screw holding the back of the wheel in place and there shouldn't be anymore separations.
regards,
Painless

I know you have all seen these before but this is my toy just out of the box, lot of improvements to be carried out but a good starter tank!

The wheels don't click together, just sort of press in so they seem to work loose over a relatively short space of time, magnets sound like a possibility but will try a small amount of glue to begin with as it doesn't seem like it will do any harm.

Thanks so far for a great reception, nice to know there are such nice people here....
